If a natural nail or an artificial enhancement severely cracks, is very painful and bleeding, these steps will aid the healing process:
Wash thoroughly with warm soapy water and antiseptic. Apply Neosporin, and wrap with Band-Aid.

After bleeding stops and the nail is completely dry you can apply nail glue to the crack. Nail glue is better to use in such cases as it contains antibacterial agents.
